Loyalty Magic Acquisition

Date: October 2007

Specialist marketing company Wishlist Holdings Ltd announces its acquisition of customer loyalty and gift card solutions company, Loyalty Magic.

Wishlist Holdings claims the acquisition will strengthen its Retail Marketing Services division which provides loyalty marketing, gift card and on-line retailing services to Australian retailers.

Wishlist Holdings CEO Adrian Finlayson is on a mission to create Australia’s most comprehensive offering for gift cards and loyalty marketing services.

“With this acquisition, we’re significantly expanding our offering for gift cards, loyalty cards and gift card malls,” he said today at the company’s Melbourne offices.

Graham McStay, General Manager of Loyalty Magic, and his team are staying with the business and are expected to bring significant operational experience and strategic insight into loyalty marketing.

Mr McStay said today, “With this acquisition, Wishlist will now have the strongest team of experts in the loyalty and gift card markets in this country.”

Mr McStay adds, “This is an exciting transition that will bring more retail loyalty solutions to the market which will benefit retailers and consumers.”

The acquisition gives Wishlist Holding a solid client base and software that is certified across a large number of EFTPOS terminals in Australia.

“Around 70% of retailers don’t have plastic gift cards,” Mr Finlayson explained, “We are now in the unique position of being able to offer a highly cost competitive gift card and customer loyalty solution to any retail business in Australia that has an EFTPOS terminal.”

The first division of Wishlist Holdings, Wishlist.com.au, successfully pioneered online retail gifting in Australia in January 1999.

Since then, Wishlist Holdings has continued to grow, adding more lines and brands to its stable of successful businesses — including eVoucher.com.au and Accumulate. All to meet the growing demand for Recognition, Incentive & Loyalty Marketing services for consumer retail programs and corporate employee programs.
